I know that this was talked about before, but a quick search didn't give me any results. What causes the dancing VFB window? Not only is in annoying, it is almost impossible to save a render from the buffer. Is there a fix or known cause?at2f2hw5

It didn't solve it. I thought it did, but it has returned. I rebooted MAX, and it seemed to have worked, but with the 'improve quality progressively' still off, it's still dancing around.Originally posted by cubiclegangster View Postclick on the little plus in the top left of the viewport, and under display performance switch off 'improve quality progressively'Bobby Parker

Ok. I think we can add an option or an env. var to not parent the VFB to the 3ds Max window - this will solve the problem, but in that case the VFB might get hidden behind the 3ds Max window. Of course, we could also make it "always on top", but that might be more annoying.

I'll be on 3DS MAX 15 soon, and it doesn't happen all the time, so I am personally fine.Bobby Parker

no, I am not.Originally posted by PixelJockey View PostBy any chance are you using Project Manager by K-Studio? I love the script, but have found that it suppresses the VFB to the background. Really annoying. The behavior sounds similar to what you are experiencing.Bobby Parker
