  • DR Node Never Starts

    Hey everyone,
    Still going through some setup issues with my first node. I have licenses for it now and I have run tests on simple scenes and it works perfectly. I have been messing with it all day trying to get it to work on a scene that I started working on before I set everything up but still can't seem to get it to work. The scene and all assets were originally on my workstation but I put everything on my new NAS. I even tried archiving the scene to make sure it wasn't a missing file or anything. All references point to the NAS and I have tested with a simple scene and it works fine. I can open the scene from the node and render it fine. I can do a network rendering through backburner fine. No matter what I have tried this scene just wont render with DR.

    Jason,
    Have you done any backburner renders on the new node?
    Sometimes running a backburner job help to set up some mystery network settings.

      I have. It will work with DR on every scene except the one I am trying to render. I have also opened the scene manually from the node to check and make sure I do not have a missing plugin or something and it renders fine. Losing my mind!

        Hi Jason,

        It is very odd DR case and I would like to ask you for more details.

        Are you submitting the job from 3ds Max Design 2014?
        Unfortunately there are no errors or warnings in the log you have posted, which will help us to identify the issue. Would it be possible to run another test render ("Restart servers on render end" disabled) and send us the logs from the main machine and render slave.
