3d max crash after install nightlie

  • 3d max crash after install nightlie

    Hello everyone.

    I have a serious problem with 3d max and vray.
    When installing the last nightlie max empeso to crash every time I try to open it.
    Try returning to a nterior versions and now I can not open 3dmax.

    Uninstall vray, could open max ... install vray 3dmax and crashes. This happens with official versions and nightlies.


    Any solution?

    HI,

    Try to delete all files (create a back up first of this folder) in folder C:\Users\__Current_USER_\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3d sMax\___MAX_Version__\ENU
    Then install V-Ray and start 3ds Max again.

        Crash again... but only works whit 3.0.08.

        other solution for run nightlies?

            Thanks for attaching the 3dsmax minidump file. I will ask our developers to help with it.
            By the way, which 3DS Max version you are using ?

                I tried to replicate this here (Max Design 2015 and today's nightly build), but without success.

                    Please confirm the exact V-Ray build : V-Ray 3 / 25320 from December / 1st

                    Unfortunately there is no some useful information in the 3DS Max dump file.

                      Build vray_adv_31501_max2015_x64_25314.rar to vray_adv_31501_max2015_x64_25320.rar
                      Workspace default

                      before the error using one of the latest builds before December without any problem.

                      Then install a stable version v-ray (vray_adv_31001_max2015_x64_25316)
                      after that installing everything crashed. Including the re installation of nigthlie that if it worked.

                        Unfortunately still can't reproduce it here. I tried to install all the versions you've been listed. Are you using any start-up scripts, custom start-up scenes or settings?
