    Hello,

I don't understand how to use the environment fog, in the doc it seems to produce very good results with 8 subdivs but in my case it produces "big" noise, even with a lot of subdivs (512 is not enough).
Is the light/shadow subdivs multiplying the fog subdivs? If you put a map in the light, does the fog has a texture?
It looks like the noise of the fog is 2x2 pixels large... even with shading rate at 16...
    I am very confused.

Best to send us a scene for investigation to support@chaosgroup.com so that we can check what's going on.

    Best regards,

I don't think there is any particular issue. Just that I don't really understand what parameters to tweak...
Basically I put a fake caustic IFL into the light mapping, the map is 512x512 so I left the default parameter. Anyway even leaving it empty it looks like the noise has a 2x2 pixels pattern.
I can send the file tomorrow but again a lot of xmeshs so pretty heavy... I can remove the animated mesh and leave only one image instead of the IFL...

Yes, please send us some simplified version of your scene and we will check it out. You can post it here or send directly to support@chaosgroup.com
