  • Light Not Lighting Scene

    Hello,

In my scene I use a VRay dome light for the main scene lighting, but within an enclosed area I need to create some additional lighting. I have been able to do this by using a standard omni light, but I cannot get the additional lighting to work with using either a VRay sphere or 2nd dome light. Each time it renders as if it is turned off. What am I missing here?

    thx

What kind of camera are you using? If its the V-Ray physical camera I would start by lowering the shutter speed and see if that helps. Can you post a screenshot of the light and camera settings?
    Cheers,

DomeLight won't illuminate the enclosed scene unless the enclosed objects is excluded from shadow casting.
V-Ray lights placed inside the enclosed volume should affect the rendering however.
Would it be possible to attach a simplified version of the scene for investigation?

I was able to figure this out finally... it appears that something went wrong when the light was created. I think it was originally created as a plane light then later switched to sphere. I deleted it and re-created the light and it's working as expected.
