  • VRayRT - Helix with a bend modifier

RT doesn't seem to render a helix with a bend modifier on it.
It will render a helix (viewport and renderer enabled etc.) without the modifier, it will render a line with a bend modifier.

However, this may be a max thing, because if you collapse the bend modifier and then convert the bent helix spline into a editable poly it disappears, which might explain the RT result.

    Is this a known problem?

A simple workaround is to apply Edit Poly modifier directly on Helix and then apply the Bend and any other modifier you need. This will do it for RT.
      Best regards!

You can also put a Renderable spline modifier on top of the bend, which should also work. This looks like a bug in 3ds Max though.

        Best regards,
