  • VrayLights not respecting objects set to matte alpha-1 with vrayLightSelect Element

I'm not sure if there's something I'm not setting up correctly, but...

I have a scene with background objects that I want to be matte. This works normally, but if I add a vrayLightSelect render element (diffuse), then the objects that should be excluded from lighting appear in the vrayLighting, GI, etc passes.

Is this a requirement of the lightSelect pass or is this a bug?

My current workaround is to duplicate my light rigs for these passes and have the light exclude the bg objects from illumination (thus retaining the shadowing).

    Thanks
    p.

It is with the latest official build 3.10.03 right ?

    Thank you very much.
