  • Weird texture where two geometry's intersect

I have a particular render where there's a funky grey texture where the feet of an object touch the floor. Not sure if it's more of an issue with reflection, or where the two geometry's touch? I do this sort of thing all the time and have never run into it before.

Have you checked the render elements to see in which one it occurs?
    A.

vrayShadows and vrayLighting is the only place I see it. I have a single HDRI dome light set to 200 Subdivs. I don't see any place to tweak Shadow subdivs. AA looks really good btw.

By any chance, is there a VRayDirt map applied to the floor? If so, add the furniture to its Result Affect list.

Edit: "consider same object only" would do even better if that's the case.

Why, yes it does! Thank you so much. I'll give it a shot!
