Turns blue during IRR pass and renders blue. However, rendering using BF is fine.

    What is causing this?

I found I had the other file I mentioned earlier with me, going to isolate the problem light I had issues with and see if I can find the problem

thanks! BF is working, so I'll go with that for now. BF is slower for me.

Well no luck trying to figure it out, I compared settings from 2 different files and its just raising more questions than answers. I thought the thread below might shed some light on it but now Im getting weird colouring and drastic differences in light between BF and IR with just a single V-Ray light and Store with IR is not enabled :S might try to look deeper in to it tonight as its really bugging me now lol.

I think it's just the prepass that is showing the wrong colors; the final render should be fine.

I closed it to work on some other things, opened it back up to see, and even the pre pass looks good now. So, something is goofy.

Spoke too soon. The final render's lights were blue using IRR as the primary bounce; fine with BF.

i had a broken scene once recently that would render bright orange everywhere... i thought it was a self illumination but i went through the mats with a fine comb and turned them all off and fixed nothing.

in the end i found that rendering with BRUTE + BRUTE or IR + BRUTE fixed it but any LC 2nd pass would not work.

Not that I know of. Can you get me a scene for it?

As I said in the so slow thread, the problem is fixed if you desaturate the map in the translucency slot of the 2 sided mat.
