  • Problem with EnviormentFog (precisely: falloff´s and textures channels)

    Hi guys...

For the moment i am using the last nightlies (3.25.01 from today: 25989) over 3d max 2016.

I'm testing some trees and EnviormentFog but when i put a falloff or a texture on the emission tab, the render it gets stuck, precisely on the progressive task. Nevertheless the Lightcache goes well.

    Eny help or advice?

    cheers

Actually I don't see an issue here. Mapped Emission slot makes V-Ray to used the color value for each ray for all of the fog steps specified in the env. fog parameters. The render will be slower due to the increased number or rays used to calculate the final color.
In additional, if the map has brighter colors or white, the render might be very very slow.

Can you post your file? Have you tried to use the Progressive image sampler instead?
