  • Vray instancer very slow with lots of particle

I'm trying to use Vray Instancer with 2,000,000 particles and a 10 poly object to be instanced but it takes... at least 4-5 minutes with a single thread cranking away to render. By comparison the PFlow Shape instancer is nearly instantaneous and the entire render is often done sooner than the instancer. Is the instancer not multi-threaded?

Actually, there's a "Multithreaded" button at the bottom of the modifier. Did you try it?

Well I'll be... there it is. The CPU utilization remains steady but it goes WAY faster. So that seems to do it!
