VRayLight (Plane) - how do I get the texture visible in viewport?
VRayLight (Plane) - how do I get the texture visible in viewport?
I don't know if I miss anything but is there an easy way to show the texture assigned to a VRayLight (Plane)?
So far I didn't find a checkbox or anything.
Software: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1
3ds Max 2016 SP4
V-Ray Adv 3.60.04
I'm not talking about LightMtl but the normal VRayLight (Plane). You can put a texture in there, there's got to be a way to make it visible right? If not that's on my wishlist for sure...

Please excuse me for the confusion.
Actually we have that logged as a feature request in our system and for the moment this partially done for the Direct 3D viewport. Unfortunately if you are using Nitrous Viewport driver, textures assigned to the V-Ray light will not affect the light viewport shading.
Ah, my apologies, totally forgot we switched to Nitrous for the 2D Pan/Zoom, when I switch back it works - sorry for the confusiuon.
Anyways any info on when we get this working in Nitrous Dx11? It's really a pain when using gradient lights figuring out which direction they go. I could write a script hacky version myself but would very much like to se it implemented natively.

There are some problems to get it working with Nitrous driver for the Max versions 2014,2015. We will see what can be done for Max 2016 and the upcoming 2017.
