Sorry for double post but here is a little more expanded reasoning why I need either clean multi matte or atmosphere not visible in render but still available in atmosphere render element.

    1. If we do any heavy RAW color correction and are repalcing diffuse passes/etc/etc. We can not get clear selection of object.
    2. If we decide to do heavy adjustment to Aerial and push it away from some objects we can not then regain full control over these objects due to matte issues.
    3. If we have large objects - land and want to adjust color our adjustment curve will decrease the further the land is from us and we will have colo miss match + simmilar issues to point 2. Near us well have 100% affect, but far away we can get 20%, If we decrease atmosphere by 50% in post then we have no way of increasing the mask power by 50% in far away distance.
    4. If we want to re-render the animation job then. A we either render it 2x. So a 4h frame render now turns up to 4h frame render + 2h mask render + mask will have different AA noise patern risking errors.
    5. Creating 1 pass for atmosphere and 1 with hidden atmosphere wont work. We will end up in 2x long render times. And nope I dont think changing materials will work. Any glass material will produce errors and if I have 500 materials in scene then well... - also displacememnts will be a major issue...
    6. Post artist give me angry looks.

Its awesome tool but unless we can get clean pass then... never gonna use it.

We are able to get light/reflection/other passes without Atmosphere affecting them... how come Masks are different?
