Again, with the explorer! I open the scene explorer in 2016, I can't pick anything and I see the animation key, at the bottom right, just blink. This is an imported Sketch Up file and it's been nothing but a headache. My cameras and lights are on layer 0, however, I can't see them in the explorer. I tried importing into a new scene and it isn't any better. I would pay more for a software that worked!

      This is a mess....
take a look on your "key-symbol" it is flickering....there are a lot of threads in the max forums
I've tried every thing...including a complete new installtaion of the .net framework...nothing
my solution is the nestedlayer manager for 12$

I thought about that, however, I don't want to just pile stuff onto other stuff. How can an average developer fix something with a script and the Autodesk development team can't fix MAX?

I've read somewhere that the flickering key symbol is because you've cloned a camera (instance). If you make it unique it stops flickering. Just the other day I had that 'problem' and I instanced my camera et voila it stopped flickering.

I can also see that camera and light filters are off (left side) so it's normal you don't see them
