  • Local machine only - Backburner error: Could not execute 3dsmax.exe

Plus the error: error server config file does not exist. Any ideas what I need to do ?

I've already tried unistalling and re-installing backburner 2016.

I've deleted all backburner xml files prior to this.

This looks more like Autodesk issue, I have found a few reports on that subject on Autodesk Community website like the one bellow:
    http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/3ds-ma...p/td-p/4709331

Does it happen when V-Ray is not installed on the machine?
If yes, our recommendation is to contact Autodesk since they should provide a better assistance on that matter.

That thread is fairly limited in suggestions but I do already have the latest service packs on all machines. It was working fine in Windows 7 and has only just started happening since upgrading to windows 10.

I'll test without vray and let you know.

I "think" the problem was to do with running 3dsmax as administrator. I've turned this off and now it seems that backburner server is fine on my local machine.
