Water Refraction fog desaturates when VrayDisplacementMod is ON

Hi , All
is there anybody experiencing the same thing ?
can please kindly help me with this.
any help will be much appreciated, Thank you!
i am using vray 3.40.01
3ds max 2014

here is my water without VrayDisplacementMod (look at the water) :


and here is my water with VrayDisplacementMod on (and suddenly the fog is gone) :

How about you , Vlado ? any ideas ?

I don't think there is a issue here, the surface of the water is drastically changed and it is normal to have different appearance.
In any case would it be possible to send us that scene for investigation? You can remove the building and any unnecessary objects but please keep the water,environment and lighting setup.

info, here is another try, VrayDisplacementMod=off (left side of image) and VrayDisplacementMod = on with 0 amount (right side of image)

With the displacement amount set to 0 it indeed looks weird and it is probably a bug.
We'll investigate it and will keep you posted.

This issue has been fixed for the next official version of V-Ray.
