I am having the hardest time exposing a scene. Usually, I use real work camera settings and turn lights up/down to work. My current scene is way too dark, almost black, and all I have is an HDRI and a V-Ray sun. If I tweak the exposure to look right, my white siding is point 4. I have to darken my siding until it is almost black. The same holds true when I try with just a V-Ray sun.

In environment settings, switch to a different exposure control, then back to physical camera exposure control. I find sometime when you fiddle with the camera too much (even though you override it with the camera), the "link" between your cam and the exposure control gets lost. You either have to switch to something else, then back, or in the camera itself there will be an option that says "Install Exposure Control".Kind Regards,
Morne

It was too bright even for tone mapping. I'll try your color suggestion.Originally posted by piotrus3333 View Postwhite siding should have diffuse probably somewhere between 120 and 140 rgb in vraymtl. how are you doing your tonemapping?Bobby Parker

I tried a new camera and it didn't change. I'll try toggling on/off the exposure.Originally posted by Morne View PostIn environment settings, switch to a different exposure control, then back to physical camera exposure control. 120 was the magic number. Odd... I have never had the problem before and I have done white siding. Anyway, thanks for the assistance.Bobby Parker
