I have the siding and trim using the same material and UVW maps, however, you can clearly see that they are rendering out different. What would cause this?

Isn't just the angle on the boards?

Interesting! Would you let it go, or have two materials so it matches?

I'd do two materials. But is the increased brightness coming from the diffuse component or do you have some reflection on the paint? If it's from the reflection you may want to tweak the glossiness so the brightness is closer on the two surfaces.

I have glossiness. I'll start there.

I have no idea how to use Rail Clone. That being said - is it easy to adjust the profile of your siding? If so, try making it vertical instead of angled and render a test region to see if it renders the same.

I do have to work on my siding; the siding sticks out past the trim.
