  • long render time with interior? look at this

for interior - dome light and longer time render or just portal light?
dome light with vray sky in texture slot really make the longer time? or its just the curtain (2 side material) that make the trouble of 4 hours render! (light get scatter?) btw its brute force and light cache - image sampler - 1 - 50 / noise threshold 0.015.
any tips to make the render fast and stay on brute force?

It's the curtain alright. You have a few different options to tackle this. With portal lights you might exclude the curtain object from the lights. Or maybe tick off affect GI of the curtain object.

You can try to troubleshoot the scene. Put grey material on every object and see how fast it renders. You might have some raytrace materials which is bad. In this case you can use V-Ray scene converter to convert all non-vray materials to Vray ones.

By the way, is Use local subdivs in Global DMC tab turned on? If it is and you're adjusting material and light subdivisions by hand, you might have used unnecessarily high subdivisions. If that's the case, try turning off Use local subdivs to allow Vray automatically deal with material and light subdivisions.

Also, do you have a glass object in the windows? Try hiding the glass and see if it helps.

What's the specs of the PC/PCs that you use for rendering this scene?
