  • vray RT CPU stuck in pass 1

    Hello there,

I have this issue that my scene is stuck when rendering in RT CPU, cuda loads very slowly.

There is pretty much nothing in the scene, it is not animation, also i am not moving with camera. When i isolate the big volumes it runs smoothly but when seeing all it is jumping like this. was working earlier, dont know what happened

Thank you much for any advice

I think I've had this happen to me too but it was just a couple of times or so. I don't remember how I fixed it. I think restarting RT or Max helped but it was so rare I don't remember anymore.

        Hey,

I can't reproduce it here, but I can try shooting in the dark - what's your ForestPack version?
If it was that easy, it would have already been done

            We've got it.

It's a bug in max 2016 (first I tried it with 2017). If you have instanced cameras and you are looking through one of them, it's constantly sending info to the RT, which is causing the refresh. If you make it unique it will stop.

              OUH YES !!!

Thanks a lot, wouldn't figure that out. What i am curious about tho is how was it working properly when i isolated the big volumes only.

              Anyway, now it works.

Maybe you've isolated the other cameras with those volumes ?
