Hate me but: I like it the way it is, with the default values. There is no reason for zeroing stuff like MSR or max subdiv.
+1 for going down to zero where it makes sense. Like for the progressive time limit and the memory limit though.

German guy, sorry for my English.

Really, I like you as a person, and I understand the point you made on a few pages back, but right clicking a spinner has to reset it to it's minimum possible value. A value of 100% for the blend amount in the VrayBlendMTL is certainly not it's minimum, you agree?
        No, no i don't agree.
Nor take anything but source material to validate my claims.

I have no idea how this relates to your statement here though, as I do not have any insight to the development of 3dsMax from decades ago.
Your claimed ignorance doesn't make your convictions any truer, i'm afraid.
Cfr. below, straight from the online Max manual :

        Code:
        [B]virtual [/B]void [B]SetResetValue ( float [I]v [/I])[/B]

        [B]Remarks[/B]
A 3ds Max user may right click on the spinner buttons[I][B] to reset them to their 'reset' value (after they have been changed).[/B][/I] This method specifies the value used when the reset occurs.

        [B]Parameters[/B]
        [B]v [/B] [I][B]The reset value.[/B][/I]
It goes without saying that not specifying v means "0", or closer meaningful value (1, f.e.).

Liking me as a person is a very personal choice with little to no impact on my well being, or the effort i put into my work: don't fret on it as it's entirely optional.

this all began because there is a default time limit for the progressive renderer set to 1 minute, i think that`s really the only one that ever bothered me. set it to 0 as default so you can control it yourself and i`d probably be ok with the rest being whatever. i`m not sure what other values i`d zero but it was just slightly awkward having to set it to 0 each time. i can`t see why the 1 minute limit was there at default, does anybody have renders that quick(if so i want your pc and you can have mine).

We thought it common, by now, for people to save their own render defaults in the "default" named v-ray preset (hence setting the renderer as one pleases, on load/reset. F.e. progressive time to 0.0).
The move to implement defaults on spinners' RMC is something else entirely.

                So Lele,
if you tell me that this is the way the right clicking behaviour is intended for 3dsMax, then most probably this is right. Sorry for the inconvenience. I am just baffled that the training material is entirely wrong on that part...

                  I don't "tell", i like to think i "show".
I sincerely hope the difference isn't lost to you.
