  • 3.5.03 Active Shade Resolution starts 640x360?

So I set the res in max to 1280x720 for test renders and in RT CUDA production mode the VFB renders correctly to 1280x720.

When I want to work with active shade, I set the res in max to 1280x720 and the VFB renders to 640x360. This only started showing up in 3.5.03 and later.

Is there something I can do, other than dragging the VFB window to 1280x720 (which is not easy) to get active shade to start at the desired resolution?

      Hello,

In 3.5 ActiveShade uses the size of the VFB for resolution.

You can read some more about that here: http://forums.chaosgroup.com/showthr...e-for-Vray-3-5

I see that they will implement a switch to fix that. Having a 5000x6000px window on screen and still seeing the rest is...impossible and absurd

Jason, in the build that I sent you, there is a "Fit to VFB" button for V-Ray RT ActiveShade, and "IPR options" section in the System tab for the regular V-Ray that control this behavior.

            Best regards,
            Vlado

Is this in a nightly or only upon special request?

It's in a nightly build, but the 3.50.04 update is mostly done anyways - you'll get it fairly soon.

                      Best regards,
