  • weired problem

    i have a scene i already sent to support but behind the lights there is like white lights appearing, now sure what's causing this, using BF and LC or IM and LC doesnt change anythingClick image for larger version

    Check the lights shadow bias. Try setting it to 0.2mm
    Also check LC leak prevention 0.8 should be fine. Check LC retrace. 2 should be fine

    In that render it looks like the fitting is away from the ceiling...

    Check your elements if it's in GI or Lighting or Both

      i should have reported, seems the scene was created with an older version of vray, converting switching betwen renderers and back to vray seems to have solved it, opening old scenes directly to render is not really a great idea with the new vray it seems

        It's probably due to the "retrace" option in the light cache, which is enabled by default in newer V-Ray versions, but was not present in older versions.

          no that didnt fix it, only solution i found was to convert the entire scene, i think a spent a day trying to figure this out in the end i gave up, just converted it, you guys there have the files so you can test it
