Oh, I forgot about this element, try that, thanks, it should work. But when LightMtl emiting direct light and illuminating the scene (not just bright the texture) I probably need to convert it to vraymesh, right?

Now I realize this element not working for me. I am using LightMtl on background object for outdoor environment and this object reflecting on whole kitchen. I use some image on this object and use LightMtl to bright it right for camera exposure to be nice from interior. And because this object is brighten, it reflecting very nice on objects. But its reflecting, not illumination. So I cant use selfillumination element. So how can I add this to lightselect element please?AMD TR 7980X, 256GB DDR5, GeForce RTX 4090 24GB, Win 10 Pro

Use Mulimatte to create a mask for that... or you could try the Crytopmatte element (no good if using Photoshop though), since Photoshop doesn't handle it yet. Although, I think an even better solution would be to have an EXCLUDE function for the SelfIllumination element, but that doesn't really help you right now

I dont think this is the right way how to do this. It doesnt solve the problem or second thing is far from ideal. I think VRayLightMaterial is a texture on object which is reflecting on other objekt like any other objects. There should be a simple way how to add this bright reflection as element. Please someone from chaosgroup, how can I solve this issue please?AMD TR 7980X, 256GB DDR5, GeForce RTX 4090 24GB, Win 10 Pro

you can even a vray sphere, plane or disc light, set to invisible if you don't want it in an element pass, and deselect diffuse and reflection to get specular highlights or deselect diffuse for both reflect and specular. Nice trick for getting great specular highlights on objects in a room, where the actual lighting is just not coming from the right angle, for a particular shot.. I use Dabarti Light Assistant and IPR for those "fake" parts of any lighting setup. It's a cheat I know, but for me, as long as it looks good and the client is happy and pays up, how I achieve the look, just doesn't matter.

Yeah, thats right. I will do it this way, thanks.
andy51: can you show me some of your works where you use this Dabarti tool please?AMD TR 7980X, 256GB DDR5, GeForce RTX 4090 24GB, Win 10 Pro

The Debarti Light Assistant, is basically the Vray Light Assistant, but with more control. So a scene that uses it, won't look any different to one that doesn't. Only benefit to it, is the speed of setting up lights, since it's all from the one dialog
So just download a copy and install it, it is free but you can donate if you feel inclined to do so, then create a simple scene and have a play around with it. Have fun, that's the important thing (apart from getting paid of course).

We do have plans for a light mixer although I can't say when it will go into builds yet. Right now we are rewriting the VFB so that we can implement stuff like this more easily.
Best regards,
