  • Viewport bitmap VrayLightMtl

"Show shaded material in viewport" does not work for bitmaps/procedurals set as map in VrayLightMtl.
It simply shows the color in viewport, instead of the texture.

    In 3ds max 2015.

Stumpled upon this a few times over the years.

    hi,
yes, a little annoyance that one. you can get around it by having having it as a vrayoverride material with the vraylightmtl as base and it works in the viewport, at least for me.

You can also set the color to black in the VrayLightMtl, right next to the texture slot. It is white by default, I think. Then the texture should become visible.
