  • RT displacement artifact

    I was testing some fabric displacements in RT and noticed an issue in the displacement on the seat cushions (attached). I tried adjusting a few things but nothing removed it. When I switched to Advanced, it was gone. Any ideas what is causing this in RT? Just curious if I'm overlooking something. Thanks!

        The displacement issue is reproducible, but before sending the bug report to our devs I would like to ask about the Software version you are using? The scene is saved with Max 2018 but according to the signature 2016.
        Is it possible that you are using the latest V-Ray 3.60.03 ?

        I found that the issue has something to do with the View-dependent option of the Displacement modifier. Can you try to turn it Off and lower the Edge length to 0.05 which should give you the same quality?

          Yes, switching View-dependent off and lowering the Edge length fixed the issue. Thanks for your help!
