  • Animation - Irradiance prepass and render

Yesterday i sent two jobs to our render-farm. The first was a prepass for the irradiance map.
Nothing really special, just standard, see the prepass image.
Sent this off to the farm, everything went great.
Then i setup the render, turned off Light cache and set the Irradiance Map to Animation (Rendering).

Now the render took from 1 hour to 3 hours/frame, depending on the machine

If i use Brute Force and Light Cache the animation takes about 5-10 minutes/frame.

It is a simple room with a door, i do have reflective floor and walls. Does it have to do something with the "Use Lightcache for glossy rays" ?

The problem i have with just using brute force and light cache is that i got a few flickering spots.

It would be best to send us your scene so we could take a look. The usage BF/LC solution of the GI might give you some more noise in the final render, but it is strange how it would result in flickering. Please share your scene so we could investigate this further.
