Yesterday i sent two jobs to our render-farm. The first was a prepass for the irradiance map.
Nothing really special, just standard, see the prepass image.
Sent this off to the farm, everything went great.
Then i setup the render, turned off Light cache and set the Irradiance Map to Animation (Rendering).
Now the render took from 1 hour to 3 hours/frame, depending on the machine
If i use Brute Force and Light Cache the animation takes about 5-10 minutes/frame.
It is a simple room with a door, i do have reflective floor and walls. Does it have to do something with the "Use Lightcache for glossy rays" ?
The problem i have with just using brute force and light cache is that i got a few flickering spots.
