  • Missing Lense Effects

    Hi Chaosgroup

Do you know of any issues of using lense effects such as Bloom and Glare with Deadline?
I recently sent a job to renderbuzz and a number of my frames are missing the bloom and glare it seems to occur at random?
I will also email a strippeddown file.

    Thanks

    Anthony

What are your Lens Effects Settings? I found that disabling hardware acceleration, gives more consistent results. Because some computers might not have a separate GPU for instance.

Ah thanks, I will have to check with the renderfarm to see if their nodes all have gpus.
My workstation has a Nvidia 970 GTX and with that I have no issues so I doubt it's specific lense settings.

Disabling hardware acceleration solved the same issue for me.

we found people running 3.60.03 instead of 3.60.04 would load the scene up and lens fx would get turned off. perhaps check all machines running same version of vray.

You mean, when you work in .04 and you open the scene with .03? I've noticed that too, but it's for every color correction in the VFB too. Nothing in the VFB is saved for older vray versions it seems. Problem with above has only to do with hardware acceleration though.

Yes if you open a .04 scene with .03 the VFB specific things will be gone and if that gets saved then you have to start all over again with setting that up.
It just caught us out as someone didn't realise there was a new vray on the team.
