i need to add on "DAAAAAAAMN that looks good" to my "ooooooooooooo" post. hehe but might just be the white rum ive been drinking all night. but hell one doesnt need to have a few drinks to know it looks great. i remember there was a post either here or in the render theory section a while back where we were trying to simulate the sky feature of maxwell in max and there was an interesting scene going around (naturally it was a nice greeble scene)

That looks really cool! Is it my imagination or do some of those images have a bloom?

I've updated some of the images with render times.

Nope, there is no bloom in the images - it's all GI effects.

          Best regards,
          Vlado

IMO there is no way to adjust a sky easier than with Terragen.
And... you can output HDR´s (no assembly necessary)wich than can be used with Vray. It produces very high dynamic images with values up to 10000
Can´t wait to test them with the vray dome light

i tried the dosch hdri skies, i guess they were rendered with something like terragen...i hated the way they used some kind of bumpy desert as ground floor for every hdri.
even when i used a vray plane to hide it there were some ugly bumps above the horizon. that's so stupid.
however, i can't wait for the parametric vray sky, that's so much easier and more useful than a static and noisy hdri.
