VrayDecal + Railclone / ForestPack

I just tested to see if this works. I can use VrayDecal as a segment or geometry for either RC or FP, but it doesn't seem to do anything besides scatter the decal box, it doesn't have an influence on the underlying material.

Having this would be crazy nice, there's all sorts of nice things that we could use for this.

I checked over on the Itoo forum, and it seems that the ball is in Chaos' park, when it comes to implementing this.

Do you need to keep it parametric? You could create instances of the decal with the forest/railclone tools.

Any update on this ? also doesnt work with Chaos scatter.

Yeah if you could make it work with chaos scatter would be equally good. The possibilities are just awesome.

So apparently CoronaDecal works with ChaosScatter. Why not VrayDecal?

It's not a matter of an image sample, I want a scattertool like ChaosScatter or Forestpack/Railclone to work with VrayDecal. I just saw this: https://youtu.be/6QVUks3fVVs?t=3481 and ChaosScatter seems to take CoronaDecal as geometry, as I requested for VrayDecal.
