    Some progress on rendering Gaussian splats with V-Ray; they work with matte/shadow objects too so that the Gaussian splats can be used as a sort of extended background.

              Here is another video that I rendered recently, showing some more raytaced effects for GS like motion blur, reflections, refractions and interactions with matte/shadow surfaces.
