..... or something that's obvious because they're rendering differently between gpu, cpu interactive, and cpu render.... or maybe there's a reason for that?
In this case I was stumped for a while this morning when interactive CPU was showing what looked like properly shaded surfaces in a scene, then noticed on CPU render there was overbright surfaces, then finally realized what was going on when rendered with GPU.
Had I fired up the scene in CPU interactive and seen objects rendered as wire color it would have been noticeable right away instead of showing a default material applied in interactive mode (which lead me to believe the mats had already been converted)
