  • Autodesk Materials Rendered as Wireframe Color - Across the Board

..... or something that's obvious because they're rendering differently between gpu, cpu interactive, and cpu render.... or maybe there's a reason for that?

In this case I was stumped for a while this morning when interactive CPU was showing what looked like properly shaded surfaces in a scene, then noticed on CPU render there was overbright surfaces, then finally realized what was going on when rendered with GPU.

Had I fired up the scene in CPU interactive and seen objects rendered as wire color it would have been noticeable right away instead of showing a default material applied in interactive mode (which lead me to believe the mats had already been converted)

Hi, thanks for posting. 3ds Max's physical material is not supported on the V-Ray GPU. You can convert it to VRayMtl using the V-Ray Scene Converter.
