    This not a major issue, but might be something that could help certain workflows.

    It would be similar to the material over-ride in the Vray render settings dialog. What it would allow you to do would be to select from a pulldown list a single light-source from the scene to use for the render; allowing easy testing of individual light sources. Ofcourse you can use scecne states, and/or the light manager, but I think it would be easier if you could simply isolate a lightsource at rendertime.

    another way would be to check "ignore hidden lights", put the lights on different layers, and hide/unhide them.

      Thats true, and ultimately, more versatile in situations where you would want to test banks of lights.

      Bit of a daft 'wish' now I come to think of it, given all the other ways to achieve the same thing.... but it could be handy in certain situations.
