we use the extra tex element with a vray dirt material to get an AO pass.
It would be nice if the dirt map would preserve the bump/displacement in the extra texture element pass. This is already possible in brazil and adds a nice subtle depth to the AO would love to see it in v-ray

as an option in the override material (Vlado said this is possible) but would probably more useful as a part of the dirt map as it would allow an AO pass with bump detail to be generated in one pass using the extra tex element rather than doing a second render with an override.
