Hi All,
Have found the VRay Mtl- Use irradiance map option [turned off] very handy for particular geometry with fine lines or details.
When this option is turned off the renderer defaults back to Brute Force [DMC] sampling for the object that has this material applied to it.
I think it would be even better if this option also had a subdivision multiplier as a percentage of the global DMC settings, just like the 'detail enhancement' option has in the irradiance map.
