  • VRay Self-Illu-Map

I think it would be fine to have a map with a light energy multiplier, in which you can put a new map. So the picture in the selfillu slot behaves a bit like an HDRI.

Reason is, that if you have a bitmap (or procedual) in your selfillu slot and you want it to shine stronger than it can shine when selfillu is set to 100.
Like an HDRI, that it´s range reaches above the white.
Or if you set the multipier to zero that it does not light at all, but behaves like selfilluminating with normal scanline.

A blur spinner for the HDRI Map would be nice too.

You already have this in the max bitmap. Increase the RGB level in the output rollout.

hmmm... checked that, it works a bit, but can´t make the light real strong, as it is with HDRIs.
But I might solve this, by making myself a HDRI with just one color, to put it in the selfillumination slot.

      Thanks Schnupps
