I totally second this. Toon lines isn't a big problem, as both Illustrate and finalToon lines are based on a separate post-pass, compatible with VRay. The Max Ink 'n' Paint material works great with VRay, but a dedicated VRay toon shader and lines that are compatible with VRay displacement would be fantastic.
