  • Merging Lightcaches?

    Dear all,

hope i don't ask this a second time in the forum. Is it possible to merge lightcaches?
I use lightcaches not just for the calculation of the irradiance map, but also for glossy rays (option: use light cache for glossy rays ^^). This speeds up the renderings a lot. So, until now i precalculated lightcaches and irradiance maps for sequences of 300 images, then blended the final renderings over 10 frames to get the final movie.
To do without this, I could merge irradiance maps and lightcaches to render the whole camera movement in one flow.
Is there a solution for this?

    Best regards

    Robert

You can use the irradiance map viewer to merge light cache files, but I'm not sure how useful this will be.

Dear Vlado, in my version this is not activated. The merge option does only work if i load an irradiance map, not a lightcache. I can open a lightcache, but not merge. Why do you think it might not be useful? Is there any version of the map viewer were merging lightcaches was added?

      Best regards

Dear Vlado, do you have some information on how to merge lightcache files with the irradiance map viewer? Would be really helpful if this is possible.

        Best regards
