  • Show map on light source

Not sure if this has been requested already, but it would be good to be able to see what texture map has been applied to a plane light in the viewport. We use many types of HDR images of studio lights and it would be helpful to see what lights have what maps without having to use the material picker.

How do you see this being implemented? Some kind of pass or some kind of name indicator?

Would also be handy for VRaySoftBox so you can see the end result in the viewport on an actual light source. VRay Studio Setup Pro does this by linking planes to the light with the map applied. As I am creating my own custom lights it would be great to have a simpler method for viewing the maps in the viewport.
