The ProEXR plugin for PhotoShop can open .vrimg files. If you have LightSelect elements set up, then you can already do what is described in your link.

    Best regards,

Thanks Vlado, I am always converting from vrimg -> exr then PS with ProEXR, didn't know you could just open it straight up, thanks.

yeah it's working great with *.vri, well at least with Afx.
the only annoying thing is that we need to rename the *.vrimg to *.vri so that Afx can import it.

The last thing is, does is the speed affected with that?
If you got 20 channels, isn't quicker to load 2 different exr in staid of 1 big one (or*.vrimg) multichanneled that need to read the whole file to pull out only the 2 passes needed?

I think nuke users do use big exr multi-channeled and use only few channels if needed without suffering too much of speed lost, am I right? Is it the same with Afx now?

I dream about having Afx handling quickly multi-channeled vrimg or exr that we can reload in the VrayFB for re rendering crop regions and load back in Afx with all the channels.
