Here is a simple idea I stumbled upon , while working on a new project.
It would be great if we can have a new button in the V-Ray VFB.
Button is : Rotate VFB 90°. It can be just next to the < Render icon >
The idea is:
Sometimes, in a scene we put lots of cameras. Usually most of them share same render output resolution. Ex: 1500/1000 px.
That is < LANDSCAPE > image. But if you want 1 camera to be < PORTRAIT > image ( 1000/1500 px ) , then u have 2 options:
1. Change the resolution from Render menu
2. Rotate the camera inside the scene by 90° ( which is my case ) .
In this case you don't need to tweak the render resolution, and you can easily use batch render queues, etc , etc.
The non-pleasant part is - that you have to look at the VFB with you head rotated in order to see how the image would look like < Portrait >.
As a matter of fact, if you have a camera like that ( rotated ) and you just reverse the 1500 with 1000 px, the camera will have different look.
What i mean is that it will capture different part of the scene, which will fall in the VFB.
So the wish is just to be able to temporary rotate the VFB by 90°. I don't care about the render-output, how it will save or whatsoever.
It is just during the setup and testing and drafting... Then for the final it can still render Landscape... Don't care.
I will try to show what i mean with a simple image.
Best regards,
