Sometimes i get confused using max standard (old) material editor, it's not reliable on the final result...

I suggest something like Corona render

There was not time to do that for the initial 3.0 release, but we will have something for the first service pack. On the whole, I think there are more important things to do first; this kind of preview is equally unreliable compared to a final scene (I'm not saying it doesn't look nicer; but that doesn't mean it's more useful).
