  • vray colour map, texture slot, kelvin temperature

    Hi,
It would be great to have a kelvin temperature in the Vray colour map.
As went creating light mtl objects. I want to match the colour Kelvin temperature of my area lights.

    Thanks

That would be useful, but as a work-around I just select the light then go to the lightmtl, use the colour picker and place it over the colour temperature slot of the light. Works perfectly every time.
Check out my (rarely updated) blog @ http://macviz.blogspot.co.uk/

    Cache nothing. Brute force everything.

      what version are you on?

you can use a vraycolour node in vray 3.2 to do this.

Kinda wish there was a tint control next to the Kelvin temperature for lights like this too:

As especially re-creating fluorescent tube lighting has a slight green tint.
