hello chaosgroup team
I work with material ID's, mostly with the override ID from vray all day long and I always think why they are not visible somewhere. you have to check each material in the material editor by hand and you have no chance to see which materialID is set already...
the problem gets bigger if you have merged some objects with material ID's set already and you have the same ID's on multiple objects. I would really like to see some automated correction of double and similar override ID's to correct them and give them a random ID that's free.
or is there a way to get the numbers in the material explorer http://c2n.me/3mdHsg4.png to see them?
maybe someone could write a script to show the conflicts in material ID's and make a input to correct them or do it automatic...
over all I think in max it's extremely tedious to see the object based setups like "renderable" "visible to camera" "visibility 0-1" etc.
thanks for reading and all the best, Vray 3.2.03 rocks!!!!
