  • VRayRT (CPU/GPU) realzoom delay

    Hi,

I think the RealZoom feature is really nice, apart from one thing: It's so slow.

Isn't there a way to make this feature less sluggish?

    A few ideas:

    1) Add a small delay before the renderer starts to calculate, until then use VFB image as display to where you are zooming/panning. After 0.5 sec being still, start render?
    2) Use VFB image until mouse up while panning (and use delay for scroll wheel)?
    Software:
    Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1
    3ds Max 2016 SP4
    V-Ray Adv 3.60.04

    Hardware:
    Intel Core i7-4930K @ 3.40 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 (4096MB RAM)
    64GB RAM

Yes, we could do something like this definitely... or else just make it snappier.

    Best regards,

I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

Whatever you do, making it less sluggish would be very much appreciated
My thought with the VFB image as temporary zoomable thingy was scalability since the speed wouldnt suffer no matter the scene complexity.
