  • Making the VRay File Output remember gamma override

    Hi
    Due to a specific circumstance I found myself using the standard max file output today after a long time.
    I noticed that it remembers the gamma value override setting in the output dialog. Can we have that for the VRay output, too?
    I use the override every time since I had multiple occasions where max f***** up the gamma (due to old scenes etc...) and the render was basically garbage.
    Software:
    Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1
    3ds Max 2016 SP4
    V-Ray Adv 3.60.04

    Hardware:
    Intel Core i7-4930K @ 3.40 GHz
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 (4096MB RAM)
    64GB RAM

    My Pre-Render Check script now also sets the gamma at render time, so no matter what weird and wonderful setting it is set to, when you render it WILL be 2.2. The script also does some other useful checks before render.
    I still have to upload the updated script, but until then you can just stick this into a text file and save it with .ms extension and stick that into a pre-render script

    Code:
    fileingamma=2.2
    fileoutgamma=2.2

      Actually not a too bad idea - still, having it behave the same way like the max output would be preferable.
