We are talking here about decluttering VFB yet you are already proposing new ways to clutter it back. Moreover, by adding a duplicate of a button that's already on a more appropriate place.
Why are you being some weird opinion cop?

    We discussed this before.

We want an overhaul of the VFB, decluttering is simply part of that.

Just because you don't work one way don't knock other people that do.

Can't I even reply to my own thread?

The reason I am pushing it so hard is that V-Ray already once was in a state, where everyone got their own checkbox for their specific workflow. And it was in that state, when V-Ray started to lose most of its userbase. Right now, it's progressing to be modern, streamlined minimalistic renderer with cleaner workflow philosophy, but requests like these, to duplicate controls around the UI go in the opposite direction.

There are two factors that should be balanced in order to have good UI. Accesibility of a function vs how often you use that function. If you do something 30 times a minute, then it should be at your fingertips, but if you change something once or twice during the entire day you work, then it should be cleared out of the way to reduce visual clutter. Locking viewports to IPR is exactly that.

I read a quote once about user behaviour, which I can't remember exactly - that goes something like "just because people wont swim across a river to get something, doesn't mean they wont walk across a bridge to do it"

IPR is new for Vray, and no - if you have to shuffle open and close other windows then you might not use a feature ever. If it's there you might find you like it.

So you tell me, how many times have you used any of the features that aren't on the IPR window? None - because they aren't there - therefore your logic is profoundly flawed.
