  • g-buffer anti-aliasing...

I'd like to see the gbuffer channels use the same AA as your main image. There is noticeable artifacting on all of the gbuffer elements making them un-useable in production. Unless there is a setting I am unaware of. I have tried all types of filtering and settings and have not seen any results that come close to the quality of the original render. I would love to use the gbuffer render elements, I've been wanting this in Brazil forever and it's part of the reason we bought vray. thnx.

    g-buffer anti-aliasing is known as z-coverage.

      huh?

Ok. Is there some kind of Z-Coverage setting to affect G-Buffer antialiasing?

z-coverage can be outputted from max just as any other g-buffer channels.
it contains the antialising info of your scene, and you can use it (in the application of your choice) to complement other g-buffer channels that inherently can't hold that information (ie: z-buffer)

sorry but can you be more specific on how it will help the antialiasing of the gbuffer render elements? What is the typical workflow? THNKS!
